If you build it…they will come

field-dreamsnuun-Feed the Machine just signed up for the North Georgia Adventure Race. They won USARA Nationals and the Checkpoint Tracker Adventure Racing Series in 2008.

They’ll be competing against Granite AR who just won the 2009 USARA Nationals and Checkpoint Zero who won Checkpoint Tracker 2009.

We all know the weather at NGAR will be frigid, but with this kind of competition I think the racers at the front of the field will be burning up.

nuun is coming from Washington state, Granite AR is coming from New Hampshire and Tecnu Extreme/StaphAseptic signed up last week…they’re coming from California.

Long way to travel for each of these teams.

They’ve each expressed that Checkpoint Tracker was at least part of the reason for their decision to attend the NGAR…never too early to start chasing points.

Adding Racers to Squads

When you add an Event to your Team schedule a Squad is created.

You can now add Racers from your Team to each Squad.

The Division you selected when you added the Event to your Team schedule determines how many Racers can be added to each Squad and whether or not the Squad must be coed.

Only Racers with completed profiles can be added to a Squad.

You can add/remove Racers until 24 hours before the Start of the Event after which point only the Promoter will be able to edit the Squad.

The Event listings on the Schedule tab of your Team profile include links to the Event profile and to the Squad your Team will send to that Event. You can also get to a Squad profile by clicking on the name of a Team on any Event profile.

Over the next several weeks we’ll be rolling out new features for Teams with completed profiles. Among other things you’ll be able to show off your Teams’ sponsors…so get your logos and links ready…they’re gonna love it.

To complete your Team profile you need to upload a logo or photo and add at least one Event and one Racer (for a minimum total of 2).
