Kuat Shows Checkpoint Tracker Some Rack Love
Kuat Racks was founded in 2007 by Luke KUschmeader and Brian ATkinson, riding partners from way back. The guys had a passion for all things bike and wanted to become a larger part of the bike community.
In 2008 KUAT launched their first line of aluminum hanging style hitch racks, the ALPHA and the BETA, creating a tsunami of positive vibes throughout the industry. Due to the consumer response Luke pressed on as the company visionary but with a new partner, Guy Mace; engineering genius, manufacturing guru, and an avid outdoor enthusiast who owns more cars than the average car lot.
With the new partnership Kuat released more goodness to the public for 2009-10 (see NV and SHERPA). In short from day one it has been our mission to make a better rack for our fellow riders and scratch out a living while doing it.
Kuat will be awarding their exceptional racks as prizes at the 2011 Checkpoint Tracker Championship.

The Revolution Will Not Be Televised…Yet
In it’s short history, Checkpoint Tracker has made great strides in laying the foundation for it’s own growth, and by extension, the growth of competitive adventure racing in the United States, and as of recently, Canada.
We’ve established partnerships with some category leading outdoor brands like Hi-Tec, Tech4o, Brooks-Range Mountaineering, Swiftwick, MyTopo, Zoik Inflatables, Mountains Plus, Numa Sport Optics, Breathe Magazine, nuun and SportMulti.
In 2010 we produced our first National Championship and in 2011 we’ll be producing our first North American Championship.
We’ve built a solid technology platform on which we can and will continue to innovate to create a compelling online experience for racers, promoters, partners and fans. We’ve even launched an online store that we’re beginning to stock with Checkpoint Tracker branded gear.
We’re just getting started. We’ve got three new projects under development that will build on our early success and really take things to the next level…but we need help.
Che Guevara, not to be confused with Benicio Del Toro, needed guns for his revolucion. We need gear…lots and lots of the best gear available for adventure racing. Why? Because we want to give it away. We want to reward Checkpoint Tracker teams that dominate our North American Championship and our Rankings and we want to do so across all six competitive divisions. That’s gonna take a LOT of gear.
To that end we’ve put together some entirely new and very exciting sponsorship opportunities for 2011…and we can design a custom package to meet any budget. We’re looking for category exclusive partners that want to join our quest to invigorate, revitalize and revolutionize competitive adventure racing at a national level.
