Cradle of Liberty Joins Northeast Region
True to its name, the 2012 Cradle of Liberty will offer teams up to 24 hours of adventure, showcasing the historic heritage of southeastern Pennsylvania. The race provides seasoned teams and new competitors alike a chance to explore areas never before seen in a GOALS race; all within an hour’s drive of Philadelphia.
With a range of mandatory and optional points, this year’s trek heavy, semi-urban course promises great mountain biking, ample off-trail travel, and river paddling. The event will feature significant navigational opportunities for experienced racers, while serving as an ideal springboard to longer events for more novice teams. Team work and stamina will define the top finishers.
The precise location will be revealed in May.

Add Any Event to Your Checkpoint Tracker Team Schedule…Even If We Don’t Sanction It
We’re on a mission to make CheckpointTracker.com the “killer app” of adventure racing team management.
We’ve implemented a basic Activity Feed that we’ll be extending to include additional types of site activity like “results posted” or “new event”.
We’ve started overhauling the UI of the site to make it more intuitive, easier on the eyes…and more fun to use.
We’re hard at work on two new features related specifically to team management that we think will be an instant hit. More on that very soon :-)
Most recently we’ve also decided to allow registered users to add adventure racing events to the site themselves…any events…even if they are not Checkpoint Tracker sanctioned events.
Non-sanctioned events will act and behave the same way as sanctioned events with one important difference. Your team will not earn points for competing in non-sanctioned events.
Why would we do this? In short, we think it’ll make the site far more useful for racers and in turn that will increase site activity. There we said it :-)
Check out our new Adventure Racing Calendar now and start adding events we’re missing to complete your team’s 2012 schedule.
All submissions will be reviewed for accuracy and so that Course information can be added. If you’d like to add an event for a promoter that is not already in our database please shoot and email to admin@checkpointtracker.com and we’ll get them added.
